Boxer Butts & Other Mutts is committed to rescuing dogs that are in dire need of help. Our goal is to save as many furbabies as we can to place them with adopters that will love them forever and help them forget the scars of their past. BBOM strives to create a "Rescue Family" that includes many positive people that are willing to help us achieve our goals. Family members include adopters, fosters, cross posters, volunteers, educators and anyone that seeks the same rewards of saving the lives of animals.
Boxer Butts & Other Mutts does not have a facility yet, and our dogs are fostered in homes located through out Buncombe and Henderson Counties. We have adoption events, which are listed on our News and Events page, and are always willing to set up Meet & Greets. All of the dogs we pull are seen by our vet in Mills River, NC and fully vetted, including vaccines, rabies shot, spay/neuter (unless under 6 months of age or recommended by our vet), micro chipped and will come home with 2 months worth of Heart Worm Preventatives as well as a Care Package.
Most of our rescues are pulled from local shelters. Without the help of the community, we would not be able to do what we love...and that is saving lives! BBOM runs strictly on donations and fundraisers; all funds go toward our vet bill, pull fees, spay/neuters, HW preventatives, flea/tick preventatives and medical needs for our rescues. The majority of the dogs we take in are in serious need of medical treatment; any donations are appreciated. No donation is too small, and are tax deductible to the extent of the law.
